Collier Tourism Council Backs FC Naples: A Game-Changer for Local Soccer Sponsorship!

Collier Tourism Development Council’s New Direction with FC Naples Soccer Sponsorship

Collier County’s Tourist Development Council has taken a decisive step by endorsing a $447,000 sponsorship deal with FC Naples. This commitment, spanning the United Soccer League’s 2025-2027 seasons, is not merely a financial transaction; it’s a strategic alliance aimed at radiating the essence of Naples, Marco Island, and Everglades in every corner of America.

This significant investment, averaging $149,000 annually, will allow for the branding of the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s name on team jerseys, during matches, and through various social media and broadcast platforms including ESPN+ and CBS Sports.

“The partnership with FC Naples offers us an unrivaled opportunity,” reflected Sandra Rios, communication manager for the CVB. “It presents a dynamic platform to showcase everything Naples has to offer. Our CVB will be represented not only at local games but in every city the team visits. This collaboration guarantees that our community’s charm shines in front of a broad audience, enhancing our tourism potential immensely.”

The proposal now awaits approval from the Board of County Commissioners. The anticipation surrounding this partnership reflects a widespread sentiment among locals who have long cherished Naples’ unique allure.

Branding will include:

  • The ensemble of the CVB logo adorning the back of team jerseys, a symbol of local pride.
  • Vibrant 20-foot field boards ensuring high visibility, especially during critical moments like corner kicks, engaging fans and fostering loyalty.
  • A jumbotron clock wrap broadcasting local charm, captivating an audience of fans and potential visitors alike.
  • An opportunity for local businesses to thrive as team benches and player areas radiate the Naples experience in every broadcast.
  • Engaging social media campaigns, allowing fans to experience all that Naples offers at their fingertips.
  • Digital platforms celebrating the partnership with the CVB prominently featured, ensuring consistency in the message.
  • Two 30-second commercials during ESPN+ and CBS Sports broadcasts, emphasizing the natural beauty and attractions that define Naples.

In a profound acknowledgment of the local impact, FC Naples CEO Roberto Moreno noted that the athletes, in their travels, would become ambassadors for the destination. It is anticipated that 600 hotel rooms will be required for visiting teams, positively influencing local establishments like Tommy Bahama and The Continental through increased patronage.

The inaugural match kicks off in March 2025. The recent reveal of the team’s name, crest, and vibrant colors—gold representing the breathtaking sunsets and a deep blue symbolizing the Gulf Coast—has stirred excitement among fans.

In an inspired move, the team recently hosted open tryouts at Paradise Coast Sports Complex, welcoming a remarkable turnout of aspiring players. The buzz was palpable as the initial announcement led to instant sell-outs, leaving many hopefuls on a waiting list. Moreno shared, “Our outreach extends beyond just talent; it encompasses nurturing local youth, as we actively engage young athletes from the Immokalee Foundation along with players from across the nation.”

With the support of this partnership, Collier County’s landscape may soon evolve into a vibrant hub of soccer enthusiasm. This sponsorship not only boosts tourism but fosters community spirit, intertwined with the heartbeats of Naples. What unfolds in the near future seems ripe with possibilities, as local businesses could thrive amidst the roar of soccer fans cheering for their home team.
