Bonita Springs husband discovered responsible of heavy battery assault on pregnant spouse

Prosecutor Amira D. Fox said a man from Bonita Springs was found guilty of heavy battery and assault on a pregnant woman.

Nathan Morgan Aly, 29, was found guilty by a jury after a day-long trial in Lee County.

Aly threatened and physically assaulted a pregnant woman at a hotel in Bonita Springs. The incident was being investigated by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Prior to the trial, Aly pleaded guilty to violating a court order without contact with the victim.

His sentencing is scheduled for September 21. Aly is being detained in the Lee County Jail, unattached.

Assistant Attorney Andrew Riordan and Assistant Attorney Wendy Jones are pursuing the case.
