A Colorado man faces criminal charges after an unsettling incident involving a 15-year-old boy at an In-N-Out Burger.
According to the Loveland Police Department, officers arrived at the beloved fast-food location following reports of a disturbance inside.
The Incident: Escalation from Fun to Frightening
Officers spoke with the young teen, who shared that he and his friends had been playing around, splashing water at one another in innocent, youthful exuberance. In the midst of their playful antics, a nearby customer unexpectedly received an unwanted shower of water droplets.
Seeking to mend the situation, the teen approached the woman’s table to apologize. It was then, without warning, that a 55-year-old man, later identified as Lucas N. Kalisher, intervened. Witnesses described how he suddenly grabbed the boy, positioning his hands around the front and back of his neck. In an alarming display of aggression, he yanked the teen down toward the table and propelled him backward onto the floor.
From the Restaurant to the Police Station: A Quick Turn of Events
After the tumult, Kalisher fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. However, the investigation was swift; police gathered witness statements and reviewed security footage, ultimately identifying Kalisher as the aggressor. He turned himself in later that night, just after 10:30 p.m., demonstrating an unexpected turn from his earlier actions.
Now charged with a felony count of second-degree strangulation and a misdemeanor count of child abuse, Kalisher found himself in court just days later. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is the CEO of Summit Source Funding LLC, a prominent financial firm located in the Denver area.
