Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on Fort Myers Beach won the TripAdvisor Award 2021 as the best award “Everyday eats” Restaurant in the nation. The restaurant on San Carlos Island at Fisherman’s Wharf directly on the beach has prevailed in this category against the competition of chic restaurants from Miami Beach to Las Vegas, New York City, Tennessee, Maine and Alaska.

“We want to be number one” Marty Harrity, co-owner of Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, said.

TripAdvisor is considered the first stop for restaurant reviews. According to its website, it is the world’s largest travel advice platform, reaching hundreds of millions of people every month. There are more than 887 million reviews and opinions from nearly 8 million businesses, including restaurants and hotels, in 22 languages.

According to TripAdvisor, the Best of the Best Restaurants Awards 2021 are calculated based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings for restaurants on Tripadvisor for each award sub-category and an editorial process.
