Driver crashes into Tin City in Naples

NAPLES, Florida – A driver crashed her car in Tin City, a popular tourist destination in Naples, on Monday afternoon.

The driver was trying to turn left off Goodlette Frank Road onto US 41 when she lost control, jumped over the curb and landed in the Tin City parking lot, Naples police said.

The Naples Fire Department responded to the scene, saying crews had to use rescue tools to get the driver out of the car.

The woman was taken to a local hospital. No information was given about the extent of their injuries or their identity.

Police said alcohol was not involved and the woman was charged with reckless driving. The crash caused damage to the building, trees and a handicap sign in the parking lot, investigators said.

The fire brigade announced that no further injuries were reported.

Tin City stayed open after the incident.
