Gridiron Bonds: How the Quinn Family of Collier County Turns Football into a Generational Legacy

Football is a Family Affair for the Quinns of Collier County

Football is a family affair for the Quinns, where the heart and soul of the game runs deep. In this household, the sport is not merely a pastime; it is woven into the fabric of their everyday lives.

The Legacy Behind Football University

Steve Quinn stands as a managing partner of Football University, a distinguished organization offering cutting-edge football camps and events aimed at the youth of today. As a result of this commitment, his sons, Brady and Carter, have risen to prominence as two of Collier County’s most celebrated quarterbacks. Brady showcases his skills at First Baptist Academy, while Carter shines at Lely High School.

A Early Love for the Game

“It’s been day one football,” Carter explains, reminiscing about his introduction to the game. “Ever since I could walk, a football was my constant companion. Each day has been an opportunity to learn and improve.”

Steve’s journey with Football University began when his sons were just infants. Intrigued by the program’s ability to groom athletes, he quickly realized the potential it held. “I witnessed the exposure athletes gained and the competitive spirit that emerged. I knew I wanted to contribute,” he reflects.

Training with the Best

Brady and Carter were fortunate enough to train alongside elite coaches and mentors from an early age. “That exposure was vital,” Steve notes. “They worked with renowned NFL coaching specialists even in fourth grade, laying a formidable foundation for their future.”

The FBU National Championship

This week, Steve finds himself overseeing a sea of aspiring athletes, with thousands of 10U and middle school players converging for the FBU National Championship at Paradise Coast Sports Complex. Among them are sixty of the nation’s finest freshmen, ready to showcase their talent in the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl.

A Brotherly Bond

Carter’s prior invitation to this prestigious game established a path, and now it’s Brady’s turn to shine. “It’s a great game, great competition that will spotlight my skills,” Brady shares, reflecting on the significance of the moment.

The brothers have received Division I offers, thanks largely to their father’s guidance and their mother Lori’s unwavering support. “We study each other’s film, critiquing what works and what doesn’t,” Brady adds. “This shared journey pushes us to elevate our games daily.”

The Mindset of Champions

Even as their father emphasizes physical training, the deeper lessons lie in mental resilience. Carter believes, “Dad’s mentorship on leadership and mindset has positioned us for success even beyond the gym. It’s taught us to navigate pressure and excel.”

Impressive Stats and Milestones

This season, Carter amassed an impressive 2,500 yards and 26 touchdowns, leading Lely to a historic playoff victory after more than a decade of waiting. Meanwhile, Brady followed suit with 2,549 yards and 33 touchdowns for his team. Their parents, Steve and Lori, brim with pride at their sons’ accomplishments. Yet, their aspirations extend beyond personal glory.

Giving Back to the Community

“We’re dedicated to empowering young athletes in Collier County and beyond,” Steve asserts, embodying the Quinn family’s mission. “Helping kids achieve their dreams is what fulfills us as a family.”

As the All-American game approaches, Brady Quinn gears up for what promises to be a momentous evening on Saturday at 6 p.m., filled with hope, ambition, and the exhilarating thrill of competition.
