Gordon Ramsay Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich – Open Fire Cast-Iron Skillet

Cooking grilled cheese slowly and steadily is the best method. For the cheese to melt, the bread must be exposed to heat for a sufficient amount of time. Gordon throws it directly on the coals of a live-fire oven.

Add a touch of olive oil to a cast iron pan, and then add the sandwich. After about 30 to 45 seconds, push the sandwich, so it crisps and the cheese melts. Flip the slices after about two minutes, once they are nice and crunchy. Push down and flip until the cheese has melted

Grilled cheese is usually made with white bread and American cheese, but this isn’t your typical grilled cheese. Whether it’s cheddar, real provolone, creamy processed cheese, or leftover brie from last night’s party, anything goes! (But I also love adding sharp cheddar!) With a bowl of creamy roasted tomato soup, you have a complete meal!
