Male Model Charged in Gruesome New York City Stabbing Incident

A 20-year-old male model has been charged in the stabbing death of a man in New York City, prosecutors said Saturday.

On late Friday, 20-year-old Dynus Saxon was arraigned and charged in the Nov. 10 killing of 35-year-old Kadeem Grant. He has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The Incident that Shocked a Community

“[P]olice responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed inside of 384 Grand Concourse, within the confines of the 40 Precinct,” stated the NYPD. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 35-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.”

Saxon will remain in custody without bail until his next court appearance set for Dec. 3. He arrived in court with a noticeable bandage on his right hand, which prosecutors indicated was the result of an injury he sustained during the incident.

To date, no motive for the stabbing has been disclosed by authorities, leaving the community puzzled and concerned.

Bloodshed and Witness Accounts

At the scene, a witness recounted a scene that will linger in their memory. She described the victim as “super bloody,” recalling the distressing details of the aftermath. “I heard that there was, like, tons of blood in the lobby,” she said, her voice laden with disbelief. “The guy that my brother showed me, he looked very bloody, like he was in his underwear or something.” Imagining the chaos that unfolded, she added, “He was just laying on the ground, handcuffed behind his back, cops everywhere, covered in blood. It was surreal.”

As the details emerged, Saxon’s life began to unravel. Once a rising star in the fashion industry, he was known for his captivating photos showcased on Instagram, which has since been deactivated. Previously, he had affiliations with ONE Management, but a spokesperson confirmed, “We do not currently represent Dynus, and he is not associated with ONE.” This loss adds a layer of tragedy to an already heart-wrenching event.

A Community Left in Shock

In a city that never sleeps, such violence disrupts the fragile sense of security that residents uphold. A random fact worth noting is that according to the New York City Police Department, crime rates have fluctuated over the years, making incidents like this one all the more startling. Local businesses and residents alike are now left to reflect on the events that have placed their neighborhood under a darker cloud. As they process these feelings, one can only hope that justice prevails for Kadeem Grant, who lost his life far too soon.
