Masked Robbers Aim ARs at Guard in Brazen ATM Heist, Chilling Video Shows
A group of brazen thieves were seen pointing assault rifles in the face of a cash-in-transit guard before making off with large sums of cash from an ATM, wild video released by police in Tennessee shows.
The heart-pounding video, taken from the guard’s body camera, shows the guard opening the door of his armored truck as the base of the ATM is open, exposing several cash boxes. The incident took place at the First Horizon Bank at 140 Mitchell Road in Memphis at 8:20 a.m. on Feb. 14.
The video captures a white Nissan Altima rolling up behind the ATM. Suddenly, three masked and armed men swarm around the unsuspecting guard. Their presence is jarring, invoking a sense of foreboding that is palpable through the screen.
“Don’t do it, don’t do it!” one of the thieves barks at the guard. “Don’t move,” another commands, weapons clicking ominously in the air. The intimidation is evident; fear hangs thick, a visceral reminder of the desperation that drives such criminals.

Described as Black males in their mid-20s, the suspects remain elusive. One individual is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, thinly built, dressed in a black hoodie, black pants, red gloves, and a ski mask. Another suspect is about 5 feet 11 inches, with an average build, wearing a red and white “Coke” branded jacket, blue jeans, gray gloves, and a black ski mask.
The third suspect mirrors the first, wearing similar dark attire. The Memphis Police Department continues its investigation, still in pursuit of these individuals who’ve shaken the community.
This brazen act unfolds against a backdrop where, last year, overall crime in Memphis decreased by 13.3%. Homicides dropped by 30%, and motor vehicle thefts by 39%, according to recent police data.
