Nathan's Famous closes Cape Coral location

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Fans of iconic New York hot dog purveyor Nathan’s Famous will no longer be able to head to a Southwest Florida restaurant for their fix.

Representatives of the restaurant confirmed that Del Prado Blvd. was the property owner in Cape Coral. This month, the restaurant will close.

A representative for the chain said that plans to open another restaurant at Pine Island Road’s new shopping center have been abandoned.

Last year, a second Cleveland Ave. restaurant was shut down just after Edison Mall. The location has been taken over by a taco shop.

Nathan’s customers can still purchase the products at home. In Southwest Florida, you can still find fries and Wieners in supermarkets.
