One flown to hospital after head-on crash on Golden Gate Blvd

NAPLES, Fla. – One person was flown to the hospital after a head-on crash on Golden Gate Boulevard near Max Hasse Park Friday morning.

The crash happened just after 7 a.m. between a van and a landscaping truck, officials said.

One person involved in the crash was declared a ‘trauma alert’ patient and flow to Lee Memorial Hospital by helicopter.

Westbound lanes of Golden Gate Blvd are shut down while an investigation continues.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is redirecting traffic to 31Street W and White Blvd, witnesses said.

The Florida Highway Patrol is on scene investigating the crash.
