The Cape Coral Arts and Music Festival returns to Southwest Florida

LEE COUNTY, Fla. –The Cape Coral Arts and Music Festival returns this weekend.

There are more than 300,000 artists showcasing different art forms such as photography, paintings and mixed media.

According to organizers, this year’s event will feature a special area for children and musical acts as well as accommodations for the visually impaired.

Kevin McNamara serves as co-chair. “We’ve opened this up to the visually impaired community. They can come in, feel and touch the artwork and experience it,” he says.

The event is made possible by the Rotary Club of Cape Coral.

The festival will be held on January 11th-12th at Cape Coral Parkway.

From Friday, January 10, 7 p.m., Cape Coral Parkway will close to through traffic. Sunday, January 12, 9 p.m., traffic delays are expected.

Parking is available at all city-owned parking lots near the area (Big John’s Plaza and Club Square) at no charge.
