According to Smith, the program is structured to offer homes to workforce members at affordable rental rates over the course of three years. During this period, the rent adapts according to the incomes of the tenants, a thoughtful detail that speaks volumes about the initiative’s understanding of local economic realities. “A portion of each tenant’s rent will go into a down payment reserve, which they can later use to purchase the home,” he explains, illustrating how this initiative doesn’t just aim to provide shelter but also nurtures a pathway toward ownership.

Another significant achievement is the funding for Ekos Cadenza, a senior housing complex containing 160 units, marking strides towards inclusivity and access for all demographics.
