With all the growth and good news, it’s an ideal time to plan a day trip or staycation to Cape Coral—complete with a meal (or several) at these top-tier restaurants.

Fathoms Restaurant & Bar

In Cape Harbour, a luxury marina development, this restaurant with sleek, sea-inspired décor offers indoor and outdoor seating overlooking gasp-worthy yachts. Handcrafted pizza headlines the extensive lunch-and-dinner menu, which also includes plates like Korean-barbecue-style ribs, Caribbean jerk shrimp and firecracker calamari.

From the same owners at Fathoms, Gather is among the shops at the Westin fronting a marina. The space feels warm and welcoming with comfortable tables, sofas, shelves of books, and an outdoor deck. The menu offers a modern take on American and Mediterranean cuisines, including lamb meatloaf and home-made pasta.

Jungle Bird Authentic Tiki

Jungle Bird expresses Florida themes in a tropical vein. The courtyard garden is surrounded by indoor dining areas with a touch whimsy, fitting its mission to create an updated 60s-style tiki bar. The craft cocktails and comfort food made this an instant hit when it opened a few years ago on busy Del Prado Blvd. Point 57’s reputation for outstanding service and delicious food has been maintained by its excellent staff. Order signatures like the Owl Be Damned cocktail, crispy pork shank, and cioppino from the dominant bar. The patio seating is covered in summer and is air-conditioned. However, most people choose the cool, airy dining room.
