CNN — In both the United States and the United Kingdom, Adeles latest album, “30,” claims the title of the fastest-selling album of 2021.
Three days after the album was released on November 19, it also became the singer’s most successful album of the year.
Selling more than 660,000 equivalent album units — which includes audio and video streaming and individual track sales — “30” has already triumphed over the other major releases of 2021, CNN reported.
The lead single, “Easy on Me,” also claimed a sixth consecutive week at number one on the UK singles chart.
“30” has not yet hit the heights of Adele’s third album, “25,” which sold 800,000 copies in the UK and 3.3 million in the US in 2015.
Although this week’s album chart has not yet been released, it is all but guaranteed that Adele will claim her third consecutive number one album.
