Car catches fire near home in Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Saturday morning Fort Myers Beach firefighters responded to a structure fire that involved a burning car near a home.

According to the Fort Myers Beach Fire District, firefighters contained the fire and kept it from entering the home.

The car had extensive damage but the home only sustained minor damage. All occupants of the affected vehicle and home are safe at this time.

The Fort Myers Beach Fire District released no further information.
