Charlotte County schools placed on lockdown, officials say no threat

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.– Three Charlotte County schools were placed on soft lockdown, Thursday morning.

Neil Armstrong Elementary, Kingsway Elementary, and Port Charlotte Middle School were all placed on lockdown due to a “potential incident” in the area.

It was determined that there was no danger to the public, according to officials. Normal school activities have resumed.
