Cocoon, a retailer of nature-inspired, hand-crafted furnishings and décor founded in Greenwich, Conn. in 2009, has relocated its entire operations to Naples, Fla. The Naples showroom is located on 5th Avenue South, the town’s chic avenue known for its vibrant dining and retail scene.

Relocating the Greenwich operations involved moving Cocoon’s woodworking facility to the Naples Design District, near the corner of 5th Avenue North and Goodlette-Frank Road. The facility is where artisans create original live-edge furniture and décor from exotic woods, including live-edge mirrors, sculptures, wall art, and other décor sourced from obsidian, geodes and quartz.

Cocoon is a licensed importer of exotic wood from Southeast Asia. The wood is sustainably harvested; a tree is planted for each tree harvested for the company.

Cocoon reflects the passion of its founder Mitchell Siegel for organic beauty, whether it be a breathtaking Indonesian root sculpture or handmade pottery from Northern Thailand. He has traveled to remote parts of the world to work with local craftsmen.

“The Cocoon team believes that the Naples address speaks volumes about quality to buyers around the world,” commented Siegel. “Plus, it is the perfect base for Cocoon to expand elsewhere in Florida,” he continued.

Cocoon customers include show business celebrities, sports figures and even presidents. The Naples showroom has been described by buyers as “mesmerizing” and “irresistible.” The space teems with artful objects from small vases and bowls to towering sculptures of intricate roots. Live-edge tables, benches, and chairs abound.

At the woodshop, buyers can source their own raw elements to create a custom piece of art unique to their interiors. Buyers may visit by appointment and watch artisans at work.

Cocoon is located at 602 5th Avenue South. Call 239-263-8889. Visit CocoonNatureCreations.com.
