NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A 19-year-old dump truck driver was killed after a crash Monday morning.

The crash happened Monday morning around 8 a.m. at the intersection on Mellow Dr. near Barbie Ln.

Florida Highway Patrol says a tow truck traveling east on Mellow Dr. crossed the center line and into the path of the oncoming dump truck.

Both trucks overturned, and the dump truck reportedly burst into flames.

Traffic on Mellow Dr. remained closed Monday afternoon while work continued to clean up spilled diesel fuel.

The crash remains under investigation.
