FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — The Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier has reopened to the public following the completion of its resurfacing project.

The pier reopened at dawn on Friday, Sept. 10. It has been closed since mid-August so the concrete deck could be resurfaced, which is a project done every 10 to 15 years.
