AVE MARIA, Fla. – Governor Ron DeSantis made a stop in Ave Maria for Little League baseball on Saturday.

The governor said he threw out the first pitch of the game on Opening Day.

It was beautiful in Southwest Florida this morning and I was honored to throw out the first pitch on opening day of @LittleLeague baseball in Ave Maria! Best of luck to all of our leagues and teams across the state beginning their seasons today. Play ball! pic.twitter.com/tjnZGRChDX

He also wished all leagues and teams across the state luck as they begin their seasons.
