Lehigh Acres motorcyclist dead in multi-vehicle crash

LEHIGH ACRES Fla. — A Lehigh Acres motorcyclist has been pronounced dead after being hit in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), four vehicles were involved in the crash at Joel Boulevard and East 9th Street.

The motorcyclist crashed into the back of a car at the intersection of East 9th Street and Joel Boulevard. The 26-year-old man was launched from his motorcycle, FHP said.

According to the report, a car driving behind the motorcyclist collided with the motorcycle while a car heading north on Joel Boulevard hit the fallen motorcyclist.

This crash remains under investigation.
