On November 9, Crescent Street was shut down so the contractor will have more room to conduct their infrastructure work.

The street is temporarily closed and will re-open back up around Thanksgiving.

The biggest risk to the project is getting through the storm season, according to the Facebook post. There have been many challenges so far but development is right on schedule for the resort.

Once finished, the Jimmy Buffet-themed resort will feature a hotel and public beach club with a pedestrian overpass over Estero Boulevard.

The resort is expected to open by August 2023.
