Pedestrian riding scooter hit by car in Naples

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian riding a scooter was hit by a car near Airport Road and Glades Boulevard in Naples Tuesday.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the pedestrian didn’t obey the red pedestrian traffic signal. The front of the car hit the pedestrian

The person riding the scooter was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

No other information was immediately available from troopers investigating the crash.
