RuPaul hosts his way into history with record-breaking Emmy wins

NEW YORK — RuPaul is adding another accolade to his growing list of achievements: Guinness World Record title holder.

Guinness World Records recently confirmed that RuPaul has the most Emmy Award wins for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program for his five consecutive wins with his show, “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

To date, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” has received 39 total Emmy nominations and 19 Emmy Awards, the most awards won by a reality competition show.

“It’s a real joy hosting ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and being a part of something that people get so much joy out of. The honor of getting five Emmys in a row is brilliant,” RuPaul said.

The show, which has secured an impressive 12 seasons, follows talented drag queens from across the US and beyond as they compete to be crowned the next drag superstar. RuPaul is on the judging panel along with Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, and celebrity guests.
