PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Seagate Development Group hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest design-build – American Builders & Contractors Supply Co., Inc.’s 60,000-square-foot warehouse and office area – at the Charlotte County Park of Commerce, adjacent to the Punta Gorda Airport, on June 24th.

Seagate and ABC Supply celebrated this monumental construction milestone with representatives from the City of Punta Gorda (including Mayor Lynne Matthews and Councilmember Mark Kuharski), Charlotte County Economic Development, Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce and Charlotte County Airport Authority. The occasion was marked by a champagne toast, ceremonial scoop of dirt and refreshments.

“We are so grateful to be welcomed to this wonderful area by our renowned client and great community leaders,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner of Seagate Development Group. “Our team is already off to a great start with the site work, slab and metal building process. By the first quarter of 2023, this design-build facility will officially be up and running.”

This pre-engineered metal building – including metal panels and a stucco façade – will accommodate a 53,200-plus-square-foot warehouse and a 6,700-plus-square-foot office area, along with a fenced outdoor yard. The office space will feature a conference room as well as a break room and showroom.

This Seagate-designed and developed facility will sit on six acres, with 2.5 acres for future expansion.

Earth Tech Enterprises – a Seagate Development Group company – is the site contractor, responsible for the silt fence and discing of vegetation as well as the construction entrance and importing approximately 15,000 cubic yards of fill dirt. ABC Supply’s facility is being engineered by Herston Engineering Services and designed by PDS Architecture.
