Semi left dangling from I-75 overpass after fiery Lee County crash

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A semi-truck was dangling from an I-75 overpass in Lee County near Alico Road after a fiery crash Friday morning.

“The truck driver lost control of his semi-truck, struck the concrete barrier wall, and all of its contents went over the wall onto Alico Road,” said Florida Highway Patrol, Lieutenant Greg Bueno.

The semi-truck and trailer have been lowered off of northbound I-75 onto Alico Road, according to FHP.

The semi-truck’s driver, a 34-year-old Naples man, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle involved was a 20-year-old Bonita Springs woman. She suffered no injuries, according to FHP.

FHP is continuing to investigate.
