FORT MYERS, Fla. — A tractor-trailer collided with a pole early Thursday morning, shutting down McGregor Boulevard and Victoria Avenue in Downtown Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Police are on scene of a tractor trailer vs pole, in the area of McGregor and Victoria Avenue. There is a downed power line as a result of the accident. Traffic is being diverted in the area so please be patient and seek an alternate route. pic.twitter.com/aK221ViceA

As a result of the crash, there is a downed power line.

The tractor-trailer had a piece of machinery on the back and the driver misjudged the height of the wire and knocked it over, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.

Century Link said it will take about two hours to clean up.
