Troopers investigate Fort Myers hit & run crash that injured motorcyclist

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a motorcyclist Saturday morning.

The crash happened on Palm Beach Boulevard and Verandah Boulevard in Fort Myers. Troopers said a 59-year-old man was riding his motorcycle east when a car pulled out of Verandah, running a stop sign.

The car stopped for a brief moment and then took off westbound, according to FHP.

The vehicle was described as a light green smaller Toyota SUV.

The hit-and-run crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call FHP or Crime Stoppers.
