NAPLES, Fla. – A Ring doorbell camera caught the moment a bear approached the front door of a Naples home early in the morning on October 16.
The video was captured at a home on Gervais Circle around 5:16 a.m. while a family was fast asleep inside, according to the homeowners.

When a man in the home woke up, he checked his cameras like he does every morning, but this day he found quite the surprise!
A bear was seen in the video checking out and sniffing the Ring doorbell camera before plopping down for a small rest on the porch of the home.
Officers and bear biologists are working to find and help the bear. Any sightings of the bear should be immediately reported by calling FWC’s Wildlife Alert hotline at 1-888-404-FWCC (3922).
Residents should not approach the bear or try to take the jar off the bear’s head themselves, FWC said.
